iMovie 10 - Many Interface Changes star
Apple has made some great changes to iMovie 10 that will make working on your videos even easier than before. The most obvious change is the new workspace, which has been simplified to contain very few buttons and panes.

iMovie Event Browser star
In iMovie you start building your project from raw footage. Your raw footage can be imported in to the Event Library directly from your camera. If already on your hard drive it should be listed in the Event Library.

The Event Library is the place where all your videos are listed, initially organized by storage location. It is also the place for organizing your video footage by “Events” and an event can be anything you wish. iMovie also has a Keyword system for tagging video clips.
